Tim Savage

Tim Savage is a pastor, preacher, author and conference speaker.  He has served as the senior pastor at Camelback Bible Church in Paradise Valley, Arizona for over 27 years. Tim has written several books, the most recent being No Ordinary Marriage, about how marriages can — amazingly — become showcases of the glory of God.  Tim has been married to his wife Leslie for over 35 years and they have two grown sons.

Tim was raised in San Diego County where his loves growing up were surfing and playing  guitar.  As a teenager, the Lord Jesus Christ exacted an irresistible call on Tim’s life. 

“Imagining my future vocation to be that of a Christian attorney, I committed myself to making grades worthy of admittance to a good law school. In the most dramatic about-face of my young life, a sovereign God led me away from law and into a field I had resolved to avoid at all costs, full-time ministry as a pastor.”

Tim has a Th.M. in New Testament Greek from Dallas Theological Seminary and earned his PhD from the University of Cambridge, specializing in classical archaeology and the pauline epistles.  Tim is a founding member of The Gospel Coalition.
