Krista Smith-Larson

Krista Smith has had many years of ministering to families touched by the tragedy of divorce. She knows the pain of divorce personally and after healing and remarrying, Krista began her ministry of supporting and encouraging the broken hearted.

She has facilitated a local DivorceCare group for 9 years as well as being the Care Group Ministry Director for 12 years at her local church. During this time she also ministered to teens through her very own curriculum called The Journey, and children through the Divorce Care for Kids program. In 2005 Krista and her husband started a Marriage Ministry at their local church and began leading small groups, blended family intensives, marriage retreats and seminars, and even became premarital coaches for blended families. More recently she has developed multiple tools and games to assist children and teens to share about their feelings and help build family relationships.

Krista also spends her days running a family manufacturing business for the past 34 years.  She resides in Big Lake, Minnesota with a family of 4 children, all now married, and 7 grandchildren. Her late husband, Jon, passed away tragically in 2012. Through this experience she has become even more connected with the broken hearted and has now extended her ministry to help bring healing to those who are grieving the loss of a loved one.
