Jim Weidmann

Jim Weidmann has been a consultant for Men of the Word, and helps to train and resource parents to become intentional in passing their faith to their children, and, to come alongside the church and help them educate, equip and encourage parents in the process.

He is the voice of The Family Night Guy, a radio feature providing parents with simple ways to teach their children the values of their faith. Through practical, powerful and entertaining vignettes, Jim shares activities and tips that help parents pass on a spiritual legacy and heritage. Currently, it reaches over 10 Million listeners per week.

As a popular author and speaker, Jim also enjoys showing parents how to teach their children biblical principles. He is co-author of the Family Night Tool Chest series of books, Spiritual Milestones, The Power of Teachable Moments, Dad If You Only Knew and served as General Editor on A Parents' Guide to the Spiritual Mentoring of Teens.

Jim has been featured on many radio programs, including Focus on the Family with Dr. James Dobson, Promise Keepers radio and Family Life radio.

Jim has served as the Senior Vice President/ COO for Promise Keepers, responsible to implement strategy and oversee the day-to-day operations. He also served, for 10 years, as Vice Chairman of the National Day of Prayer Task Force and as Executive Director of HB at Focus on the Family. Jim worked with IBM in sales and marketing for 12 years, has been a football coach for the U.S. Air Force Academy and is a former Air Force pilot. He holds a B.S. degree in Engineering Mechanics from the Academy and an M.B.A. from Hardin Simmons University with a concentration in Marketing.

Jim has enjoyed over 28 years of marriage to his wife, Janet. They have four children.
