Jim Ryun

Congressman Jim Ryun represents the second district of Kansas in Washington D.C. A three-time Olympic runner and a former world record holder in the mile, 1500 meters, and 880 yards, he has long been considered an American hero. He also set the male high school mile record of 3:55:3, which stood for 36 years. Jim and Anne, his wife of 32 years, live on a farm in rural Jefferson County, Kansas. They have four children and two grandchildren.
