Eddie Byun

Eddie grew up in Hoffman Estates (a suburb of Chicago) and studied Speech Communication at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. While in undergrad, he received his calling into pastoral ministry and upon graduation, studied at Regent College in Vancouver for his Masters of Divinity (M. Div) degree. After graduating from Regent in 1998, he began his full-time pastoral ministry and taught at Handong Global University in South Korea. He has also pastored in Sydney, Australia where he founded New Life Worship in 2002. While in Australia, Eddie also completed his Doctorate of Ministry (D. Min) in Preaching at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. In 2008, God led Eddie back to Korea to be the Lead Pastor of Onnuri English Ministry (OEM) where he is currently serving today. Along with pastoring at OEM, Eddie also teaches practical theology at Torch Trinity Graduate University, is Editor-in-Chief for Living Life, and fights for the freedom of the enslaved through HOPE Be Restored. Eddie is the author of the book Justice Awakening: How You and Your Church Can Help End Human Trafficking.

Eddie and his wife, Hyun, have a one daughter Emma who went to be with the Lord and one son, Enoch Justus.
